Living the present moment

Is your mind constantly busy planning the next duty or thing to do? Do you tend to do five things at a time and yet feel like not having enough time to do what you want to do? Is the TV on at home all the time? Does silence make you feel nervous? So you always feel somehow tense?

I observed myself complaining about somebody’s behavior of the past. How can I change somebody’s behavior of the past anyway? It is ridiculous. Or I would constantly wonder, how to manage a day full of duties stressing myself out. It killed my present moment and peace of mind.  It looks like us “modern” civilizations live in their minds only.

Myself included, we have lost the natural state of being totally aware like children are. Walking became one remedy to regain full awareness of the present moment, both, physically, mentally and spiritually.

Living completely here and now in body, mind and spirit—aware of what’s happening around you and within you requires full awareness. This is all there is.  And this is all there will be: NOW. This is the moment I can act, feel, and be. Now is all that exists.

“This is as good as it gets,” there is nothing real except this very moment. In the present, you feel a level of peace, relaxation, love and contentment that can be accessed only in this moment. Obsession with the past and fantasies about the future keeps us away from the power of the present. While your past can inform you and your future can inspire you, the moment of choice exists in the here and now.
